Frequently Asked Questions

What is coaching?

Coaching is a balanced client/coach relationship focused on helping the client identify and make changes that allow them to achieve their goals and find a sense of peace and empowerment in all areas of their lives. I believe…

  • The client is naturally creative, resourceful and whole
  • Co-active coaching addresses all aspects of the client
  • The agenda comes from the client and the relationship is focused on the client getting the results they want
  • The coach dances in the moment and discusses what shows up in a session rather than from a set plan or agenda

I believe that with the client, nothing is broken or needs fixing, and that clients are whole and complete unto themselves. The coach is there to ask powerful questions that lead to answers the client already posses within.

My goal is to empower you to find the process, balance, and fulfillment you desire in all aspects of your life.

What happens during a free consultation?

A free consultation is a great starting point to understand the coaching process and my personality and style. We agree on a mutually convenient time to talk for about 30 minutes. After the session, you can ask questions and we then decide if you wish to continue as a full-time client.

How much does it cost to hire a life coach?

There are different fee plans depending upon several criteria, including:

  • What type of goals you are trying to accomplish
  • The number of coaching sessions each month
  • Whether it is private, individual or organization coaching

During our first meeting we will discuss these items and I will provide you a quote on your investment. There is never any pressure or obligation. I want to work only with people who are totally committed to achieving their dreams and goals. If you really want coaching and are concerned about the coaching cost, please voice your concerns. I am confident we will find a plan that will work.

Where is the coaching session held?

Coaching can take place on the phone or in person. Much of my coaching takes place over the phone. It is important that the session take place in a comfortable setting where you can be relaxed, open, and focused. Many clients feel more open and relaxed in the privacy of their own home and this avoids having to travel for an appointment.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaching is not therapy, although most find it to be therapeutic. The focus of coaching is on present factors and future goals. It looks at where you are and how to get you where you want to be. Coaching provides intentional, professional, and objective feedback that friends and family do not always offer. Time spent with a coach is solely focused on you and will help you become more accountable to yourself.

Who hires a coach?

The short answer to that question is, “anyone who feels stuck or unfulfilled in one or many areas of life and wants professional help to achieve goals and find greater happiness.”
The individuals I coach come from all walks of life, from single mothers going back to school to company CEOs, and everyone in between. The common ground is a desire to live a more empowered, balanced life that brings happiness and fulfillment.

How often do we meet for coaching?

Most of my coaching sessions last between 30 and 45 minutes. Initially, I meet with clients three or four times a month. As the relationship grows and they begin achieving goals, some clients like to meet only twice a month. I ask all clients to make at least a three-month commitment to start.

What can I expect from my coach?

  • To hold all that you share in strict confidence
  • To fully support you in achieving your goals
  • To listen without judgment
  • To encourage and champion you as you follow your dreams
  • To challenge you when needed
  • To encourage you to stretch and move beyond your fears and limitations
  • To make honest observations and provide helpful feedback
  • To be with you whole-heartedly as you travel your road of personal growth
